• Editors' Blog: $250 per year

  These ads will appear on all pages of our Editors' Blog. Please note, this section of our site tends to be our opinion pages please familiarize your self with the general nature of our opinions before buying advertising on this section. We have no intention of modifying our opinions or topics we choose to write on just to appease advertisers.

• Primary page: $200 per year

  Primary pages are our main (home) page, our main periodic table of elements page and our main DOT HazMat Placarding page.

• Secondary page: $100 per year

  Secondary pages are pages that are linked to by our primary pages and all other pages on this site via the right hand or bottom menus.

• Tertiary Page: $70 per year

  Tertiary pages are primarily linked to by one or more secondary pages, but are not linked to primary pages.

• Quaternary Page: $30 per year

  Quaternary pages are primarily linked to one or more tertiary pages, but are not typically linked to by other pages on the site. Quaternary pages include individual chemical pages in our chemical database.

  160w x 150h maximum. Text only with small icon graphic next to title.

Additional text links can be added to site wide ad slots for $25 per month per link (the left tower site sponsor ads can have a maximum of four links per ad slot). A 10% discount will be applied if ads are prepaid for six months at a time or a 15% discount for twelve month prepayment (payment must be by check or money order).

Ad Specifications

The left tower site sponsor and webpage sponsor ads are text ads with a small icon (typically around 30x30 pixels) next to the ad title. The right hand menu ads can be a mixture of text and graphics or straight graphics. Graphic files for right hand sidebar ads can be gif, jpg or png and a maximum of 15kb per banner slot. Graphical banners must not be harsh on the eyes, have rapidly flashing animations nor can they harshly clash with the overall look of our site. We do not accept flash ads nor popups. Per Google's webmaster guidelines, we will use rel="nofollow" on all advertising links.

Terms of Service

We do not sell advertisements to websites that may contain content that would be inappropriate for children, may be socially objectionable, illegal under U.S. law, is in conflict with the objectives of our website, or violates someone else's trademark rights. We reserve the right to refuse any advertising we feel would be inappropriate for our site. If the nature of an advertisers site changes after an ad campaign has been implemented and said site begins to contain content that violates the afore mentioned prohibitions, we reserve the right to terminate said advertising campaign without refund.

Please note that users who have subscribed to our site and are logged in do not see any ads including site/page sponsor ads.

Payment Options

Advertising is payable via recurring PayPal subscriptions (PayPal does accept all major credit cards). We are also willing to accept check or money order for sitewide advertising, which is paid for on an annual or semi-annual basis. The initial payment will be due within one week of initial placement of advertiser's ad on our site. All subsequent payments will be due prior to the start of the corresponding advertising period.
