JOB PURPOSE To support the Company's Finance department and support multi-company budgeting, forecasting and financial management requirements. The Financial Analyst will perform professional level work in analyzing budgetary data, budgetary requests, interpreting and applying budget guidelines, and projecting and forecasting financial results. The Joint Environmental Toolkit (JET) program is seeking a technician to join our Help Desk team that provides 2nd and 3rd echelon technical support to US Air Force and Army weather support end-user and data processing systems world-wide. As the "Face-of-the-Program", the JET Help Desk Analyst conducts the initial problem analysis and, if warranted, retrieves supporting artifacts in the form of log files. The analyst will troubleshoot the problem to isolate the root cause hardware, software, or network component. The Analyst will coordinate with other agencies to implement the solution with the government network organization, local site system support, or supported military weather organization. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Write advanced reports in Cognos. Develop and validate reports, using Reports Studio, Query Studio or Analysis Studio, utilizing the framework model in place. Utilize IBM Cognos, Reporting Services (SSRS) and other tools to design, develop, test and implement reports to fulfill business requirements. Work with business stakeholders for business requirements of reporting and analysis. Work with business users, developers and project managers to gather requirements, understand report objectives and develop meaningful reports and dashboards. Assist business analysts throughout the organization by providing clarification of available data sources/elements & providing technical support in obtaining requested data across multiple sources. Set priorities, work independently, and follow-up problems to resolution in a fast paced environment. Develop dashboards for key business users, document and train users on how to use dashboards. Ensure data quality by re-defining data integrity processes, quality standards, monitoring systems, and audit and reconciliation processes; modifying documentation with in the report writing task. Develop an in-depth understanding of underlying data, data structures, and business uses to ensure reports meet business needs. Maintain data acceptability by monitoring standards; reviewing business processes. Assist in developing, updating and implementing procedures for maintaining information in the Cognos system from a power user stand-point. Assist business analysts throughout the organization by providing clarification of available data sources/elements & providing technical support in obtaining requested data across multiple sources. Serve as a subject matter expert across the organization and assist users with reporting, analysis, and BI tools, including ad hoc reporting. Assist in the research, deployment and training for all front end Business Intelligence toolsets. Support end user training, testing and documentation of reporting. Architecture/Engineering Applicants: Primary responsibilities will be to perform Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) as well as Project Capital Needs Assessments (PCNAs) in accordance with ASTM standards and local, state, and federal regulations.
